Featured Wedding Gallery: Super Chill, Secret Elopement on Mystic Beach Before Having a Big “Real” Wedding!

C&C opted to fly to British Columbia and secretly elope at a secluded beach before their big, more traditional wedding back home.

They brought their best friends, coffee mugs, and hiking boots. We met at Shirley Delicious at 7am, drove together to China Beach, and began the hike down to Mystic at 8am. C&C wanted to elope early in the day for a) the good light b) hopes of fog and c) so they had all day to relax!

When I asked why they chose to elope first, they said they wanted a chance to say their vows privately, in their favourite place on Earth, and have a moment that belonged to just the two of them before sharing in the larger celebration of the traditional wedding.

I think you will agree they honoured their vision for the day to the fullest extent!

After getting ready behind blankets and a reveal, C&C began their intimate ceremony with the waterfall as their backdrop.

Portraits

After the ceremony, coffee on the beach, some incredibly scenic portraits, and 1 or 2 runs through a very cold waterfall, C&C got changed back into their hiking clothes, and the 4 of them set off to have a brunch picnic on the beach and spend the rest of the day revelling and relaxing.

Months later, C&C revealed the photos from the secret elopement at their wedding reception in Ontario. They managed to get married in their own way, on their own terms, and also have a magical larger wedding back home. Well done!
